lloyds tsb and scm solicitors

hi

im looking for some help. I have had a formal agreement to make reduced payments to visa with lloyds TSB and everything was fine ie interest frozen and no charges. the formal agreement ended in december and i have had an informal agreement to make reduced payments though still no interest or fees. i was told that i would still recive letters but to ignore them. today i received a letter from scm solicitor with a threat of legal action. i phoned Lloyds who again advised to ignore the letter because I have never missed a payment and have a informal agreement but am still worried. looking for some reassurance please. thanks

They are just Llyods own in house collections, so not really anything to be too concerned about.

  • Hi
I have the same agreement with lloyds just file your letter and dont worry
They will send all sorts of letters but as long as you pay per your agreement you should be ok

Make a complaint to the OFT and the FOS. No reason why someone who's already paying should be being issued with threats.
  • Hi Claircon,
First thing first-DONT WORRY.I have 3 credit card debts with Lloyds Tsb.They (SCM) have sent me numerous letters regarding these cards and have now defaulted the 3 accounts. The good bit is that all interest and charges have stopped and they have closed 2 of the accounts.
I am waiting for the 3rd account to be closed at the moment.
The important thing with this creditor(and all others) is that you make regular monthly payments. If you do this it is very unlikely they will take it further.A court will only tell you to pay what you can afford and i assume you are doing this already.
Relax those letters are sent to frighten you, ignore them.
    Take care.
