The BDA don't have anything to do with disciplining dentists - you probably mean the GDC (General Dental Council) - that's our governing body.
Now - what does she know about implants and why does she want one?
Implants are not a 'fit and forget' item. They need a close eye kept on them, and a dentist who knows what to look out for and how to look after them. They probably need just as much care and attention as real teeth, and the consequences if they aren't looked after are much more serious.
So - if she isn't in a position to be able to have regular care with a good dentist, and will always be chopping and changing to get the cheapest possible dental care, then an implant is probably not the right thing to have at the moment.
If she just leaves a gap, or has a single unit denture if it's in an area that shows, then that would probably be best (and certainly cheapest) until she's in a better financial position to have it done - and more importantly - have it looked after properly. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
I've got no experience of that particular clinic, but I've lived in central europe and found the standards of health care to be comparable to the UK.0

Im thinking of going to this place:
Brighton Implant Clinic - have a google for details. Seems good.

I think he just wont manage to meet the price. My own local dentist said he cant even buy the implants for that price. The Brighton clinic has their own technicians and lab and part ownership of an implant manufacturer or somesuch.0
