YAY! We did it....

we got our PPI cancelled with Barclays and they have admitted they mis-sold (not in so many words) it to us and will refund the whole lot! Thats just short of £6000! :T

One thing though, does anybody know if the interest automatically gets deducted too. It was £6000 for the protection and then another £2000 in interest, so does that mean that for the last 18 months we've been paying it we'll have been charged?

Anyway am so happy! :j
Time to make a change .......

Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)
  • Congrats, you must be over the moon, Can't answer your question though just enquiring as to the product you were missold, i have a loan with them and in order for me to cancel my PPI on it they want to re-do the loan and the loan rate jumps from current 5.7 to 16.7, thats nice of them

Congrats and have a drink on me

Happy days, I suppose if interest has been charged on PPI you should be able to claim this back as well
