Selling a used IPhone 4?

service agreements are seperate from airtime agreements, so the phones you are trying to be sold must be stolen
Not entirely, i wont deny 90% of the phones trying to be sold to me are stolen but when a network puts a complete restriction on calls due to a debt, it is only the network that can remove these bars untill the account holder is upto date on the blls. No matter what sim card is used.
PS....FWIW i wouldnt touch a restricted due to debt or stolen phone if my life depended on it. Police in Scotland carry out random checks on phones bought to a private company with details of IMEI and sellers ID, if i buy a phone off someone i need ID, proof of purchase and note of IMEI which gets checked before purchase.0 -

I own a privately run phone shop and have this problem alot with customers trying to sell blacklisted phones. Untill your contract has ended you do not own the phone and your network have the right to cancel the use of thee phone if you do not keep to your side of the credit agreement.
If i were you i would question your morals of wanting to sell someone a phone they cant use.
My phone has been disconnected as I owe 112 pounds on it. Out of interest, can a phone be re-connected once I pay the 112 pounds?
Or am I out of luck on this as well?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Think it would be reconnected but I'm guessing you would then sell phone and not pay the bill again so phone might get blocked again and stop someone else using it.0

Looking at your previous posts, it seems that you have a longstanding problem with your finances, and selling your iphone now isn't going to address the underlying issues. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect you would be better posting a SOA on here so that we can help you to save money elsewhere and keep you from getting into this situation again.DFD = [STRIKE]May 2028[/STRIKE] February 2016Nov 2010 = £49128.50

Just thought I'd add - selling a ipod or iphone with music or anything copyrighted on it is illegal distribution, and a breach of itunes fair usage policy. Ebay have been cracking down on this recently.

Not sure of the blocking etc but I sold my iphone 3g to carphone warehouse - took it it they gave me cash on the spot, no fears of scamming on ebay or someone coming back saying it didn't work :0)My post count doesn't reflect the amount of time spent on here :0) I just keep forgetting my login details - now saved.0
