bank loan and ppi

Hi Guys, I'm new to this and in a world of stress,

I lost my job a year ago, informed my bank immediately (I had a loan with them) and they gave me 3 months grace. I wrote to them after this to say that I was still unemployed and uwell (I have suffered from depression/alcoholism since 2007), I am now recovering but of course the bank has now passed the debt on to a collection company. I am getting some help from CAB, but, after reading the pamphlet (sample) I realise that the bank sold me PPI when it clearly could not pay out on it, I understand from asking around that when I consolodated again that the PPI would not have paid out on what would now be viewed as a pre existing condition, and, as I had claimed on the PPI for a few months before I consolidated, the bank (a) knew I had a mental health condition, and (b) that if it recurred, which it did, the insurance wouldn't pay out.

Can I get some advice on these issues please???? Am seriously struggling mentally and emotionally with all this. I am in AA recovery, but even that is under threat now with all this.
