Fella, sounds like you're right in the brown stuff, sorry to hear it. I'm guessing your credit rating is in single digits, so something drastic has to happen. If you can't pay, you can simply not pay and wait for the court judgement, but you will (as I'm sure you know) have a hard time getting creditor sympathy for a gaming debt.
I suggest the first step would be recognising there is a problem behaviour, get in touch with the correct charities (gamcare? GA?) and keep well clear of the bookies from hereon in. Then sell everything but the essentials (everything the bailiffs would take if they came), give that cash to the creditor whilst you look for any (any!) job, be it as a building labourer, washer-upper, etc., and get the rest of the cash together, and avoid the CCJ which is just around the corner. But it will mean a load of life changes all round or you will be right back here in 6 weeks looking for a grand. You're probably not really happy with how things are right now anyway, are you? This could be your turning point if you choose to take it.0 -

Paddy, I made 27k on betfair last year. I never lost that. I spent it on trips to new york for the tennis, Wimbledon and the golf at St Andrews.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. My only problem is I don't have the betting bank big enough to make the money I made last year on Betfair. That's my only real problem.
Have you seen my blog? http://odwyer1980.blogspot.com/

Why spend the 27k then ? If you spent that long making it im guessing by trading/hedging etc .Why blow it all and leave yourself without the float to continue ? Im curious not having a dig .Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0

It wasn't trading/hedging, it was betting on sporting events.0

Dude, if you blew it all, without keeping a rainy day/stake pot, that does sound a bit unhealthy, eh? The problem with gaming is there are no guarantees, maybe you had a lucky year and it's turned? I just don't know. But you are in the sticky stuff, so even if you ignore the rest of my post (doesn't bother me), at least consider the bit about addressing the debt right now before the bailiffs do it for you and really kill your credit record.
BTW £27k is pretty awesome winnings - at what point did you lose/spend it all and decide to sign on? Just wondering if having had a good year has left you assuming that is the norm, which is a classic trap.0
