Ideas for using up stale chocolate biscuits?

I have an assortment of chocolate biscuits I got at Christmas, a sort of Continental selection. They weren't very nice which is why they didn't get eaten with all the other goodies! :D

I hate waste so find it so hard to throw anything out but I know I won't eat them. I thought of giving them to the birds but think I heard chocolate is bad for them. Does anyone have any idea for using them up or should I just chuck them?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Could you use them to make a cheesecake base?
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • Or one of those no cook chocolate biscuit recipe's?

I'm delighted and amazed nobody has laughed at me for not wanting to waste them! :)

Lovely ideas folks. I'm not overly keen on cheesecake these days but I will look into the no cook choc biscuit recipe as it sounds easy and I am lazy lol!

Rocky Road - I don't know what that is, will have to look that up to see if it's easy!

Thank you all for your suggestions, much appreciated! :T

  • I think you're absolutely right. They're nothing but trouble, and cluttering up the place. Send them to me, and I will sort them out for you.:D

(PS: For a biscuit to be stale, the equation is this|:
    Biscuit = stale
only when the date on the calendar and the BBD on the tin are apart by a factor of more than 10 months)

Normally I would say the same Mrswive ... but these were too sweet and a bit coconutty or something. And being a bit stale hasn't helped.

  • I doubt anyone here would laugh at you for not wanting to just throw them out, I throw literally nothing out, unless it's that's stale that I could be cultivating a new type of penicillin on it.... And even then I'd be tempted to just scrape the fuzz off.....
I'd probably turn it into a rocky road type thing though if I ever came across a choccy biccy I didn't like, though it's doubtful with my chocaholic sweet tooth!!

I'm the same LittleLauz - I have trimmed mould off cheese many a time! I'm wondering if this is the only forum where I wouldn't get branded a lunatic for not wanting to get rid! :rotfl:

I've looked up Rocky Road and it does ineed sounds scrummy. I don't have all the ingredients in but am very tempted to add them to my shopping list.

This is bad ... I'm meant to be trying to lose weight!
