When does group buying really save?

Lately I have bought one of this great Rodizio deals where you can have unlimited grilled meat and a buffet on top. I mean the original prize of 20£ is already awesome but I bought two coupons with each cost me 8£ and I tried it. I was impressed by the service and the food and for the 8 £ it was really a bargain. But, at the end of the meal I was really surprised when I saw the bill, which came up actually more then I expected when I planed my bargain night. We had two times the rodizio meal for 8£ instead of 20£, means 16£ instead of the 40£. Then we had each a cocktail of 5 £, soinI total we have spend 26£ and the final bill has been calculated out of the original + 10% service charge( of the original prize, the 40£) which came up for us spending £16 for the coupons + £10 + 10% -service charge which led to £31 and I gave a tip as a good will of €1. Means in total
