State pension not gone in bank account

I look after my mothers finances and have just noticed that her weekly state pension has not gone in to her Nat West account. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this has happened?

Wouldn't it be wiser, perhaps, to call the relevant people who would probably be in a slightly better position to know than us?

Do you mean has not gone in today - or has not gone in for some time? The former sounds like a one off glitch in the banking system, the latter something has definitely gone wrong.

Hi thanks for the replies. Yes it is just today. I have tried calling DWP but they will not tell me what is happening as I am not POA or an appointed trustee. My mother has dementia hence the reason I look after her finances. Have now made arrangements to be appointed trustee but this will take 10 to 14 days. Looks like a trip to the bank to see what is happening.
