2 Week Work Trial

Linda32 the Jobcentre probably won't know anything about this employer requesting you to complete a work trial, it's up to you to inform your adviser. You should be given some forms for your prospective employer to complete before you commence the work trial. If the employer refuses to complete them you will not be eligible for JSA if you take part in the trial, however alarm bells would start to ring in my head if the employer didn't wish JCP to be informed of the trial.0

Thank you for that, I sincerely hope I havn't given the impression that I would try to get away with not informing my adviser. The rules are the rules so to speak. I've already rang the JC who didn't know
and said to speak to my adviser at next signing.
Also, thanks for mentioning about the forms, or at the very least some form of letter to take to the Jobcentre and, more to the point, my mortgage insurance people.
Thanks again

you used to be able to do a work trial authorised by the jobcentre and they would pay a meal allowance and travel costs. This has been scrapped by the con dem government. The new voluntary work thing they are doing is plop and they will not cover expenses. Any money the surjery paid towards travel etc would be deemed as income and taken from your JSA. Its so not worth it0
