I don't know an awful lot about the different types of memory wire but the one i use is 65mm diameter 0.6mm gauge. It's sturdy and keeps it's shape but i'm still able to bend it.

Thanks, I used 0.6 last time and it held it's shape to a degree - and was easy to work with but if i moved my arm much the bracelet fell off.maybe i had too much weight on it?? I'll try and post a pic tomorrow.

It shouldn't fall off, it does sound like it's too heavy. What have you got on there?0

Well I saw one that was threaded through a chain so i did that and added shell beads in varying sizes and now i think it's too 'busy' and heavy-I'll try and post a pic tomorrow.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Thanks Holly, loads came up for that. I'm a beginner in jewellery making really and want to do some projects that are a little harder. Any ideas ?0

I've only been making jewellery since October and probably the most difficult things i've made are cluster rings. They do take quite some fiddling to get right but look so good once they're finished.
The tutorial i used is here http://www.ehow.com/how_6827492_cluster-ring-tutorial.html
Does anyone have any experience with shrink plastic? I've tried to use it and the shapes i carefully cut out had to be chucked away and the random shape i made turned out really well.:cool:0 -

The shrink plastic is tricky, i also found the random stuff was easier too do the only trick i found was to keep checking it whilst cooking it, its a case of trial and error
