Free business cards, stamp, address labels

Hi all,
Just ordered books from Amazon and got a card in the box advertising for VistaPrint - the card says if you go to:
https://www.vistaprint.co.uk/amazon29
you will get business cards, a stamp and address labels free and more (calendar, notepad) - you only have to pay postage so it's a bargain when you consider how much the items like business cards cost. :T
Just be aware AFTER you have paid that there is a reward scheme that you need to opt-out of.
I got their address labels free the last time and still have some - very pretty and good quality.
It does have a line that states 'we will be able to verify you are an Amazon customer' but I suspect this it could be a ploy to avoid existing customers passing the word round to, say, money savers...
Give it a go anyway and see

I have just ordered several things from this offer. The VistaPrint website doesn't ask you to verify that you're an Amazon customer at all. This link goes directly to the page in question:
http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/vp/free.aspx?GP=11%2F18%2F2006+12%3A14%3A25+PM
Or, http://!!!!!!!.com/ua4sx
The catch is that they charge an absolute FORTUNE for postage and packing, and then at the last minute add 'tax' (I assume VAT) as well. I ordered four different 'free' things and the postage and packing cost for the slowest, 21 day, delivery was £10.20. I thought that was actually ok for all the stuff I was getting, and it should still arrive in time for Christmas, but do be aware that your order is not exactly free!
After ordering I came on here to see if anyone else had mentioned the offer and discovered a whole thread on VistaPrint signing people up (without their knowledge) to a VPrewards scheme which costs £9.95 a month. I didn't see anything about this scheme mentioned when I made my order, but I'm going to check my credit card statement very carefully to make sure I'm not charged. Apparently VistaPrint have been good about refunding peoples' money, but still. I might also email VistaPrint now and check that I haven't unwittingly signed up for anything.0 -
Just noticed my !!!!!!! link got mangled in my last post - are !!!!!!!s not allowed on this site?0

Hrm, guess that answers that question! :-)0

I took advantage of this offer a few weeks back and got all 6 things on offer.
From memory, 250 business cards (reasonable quality), address stamp, 100 postcards (which I made into Christmas cards), the notepad (small, but pretty good since it's personalised, would cost £5 normally elsewhere), 50 fridge magnets (made them into 'Happy Birthday' magents which I enclose in people's cards) and address stickers, again, good quality
postage was £10, but it came before the 3 weeks up and for all that I got, it was well worth it !****************************0 -
The thing to remember is how much would a person pay for each item if they were not free? Also, there would be additional postage and VAT (VAT is usually hidden in the price or added on at the end with most suppliers - you can't escape it).
I think it's a pretty good offer and will help me and many others out there looking to spend as little as possible in a business start-up, or at home for gifts or stationery etc.MFW #185

I used this for the business card and was impressed they came earlier than expected and i was very happy with them. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0

It's also useful if nothing else for the fact that it looks professional rather than printed at home in a rush... high grade colours and a good finish. The other items are good too but the business cards are my top tip.MFW #185

They have some FREE notepads which are great as Reminder / To Do Lists and also for writing quick letters - some very cool feminine fashion ones which I am going to order as customised gifts for friends. As one notepad is free, I only pay £3.99 + £3.99 for two - excellent! Plus I will get the free address labels for mother in law, and free business cards (with free address labels) for me!MFW #185

BEWARE
I ordered from Vistaprint through the same amazon leaflet .
when you order your free cards e.t.c they also sneakily sign you up for 2 different reward schemes, for which the 1st month is free then they charge your credit card . when you phone the number to cancel membership, it is never answered and you just get a recorded message.
I would recommend you don't order from them its not worth the hassle.:wall:0 -
Can anyone else confirm they have been charged? I have been through the order process and see nothing - there are a couple of tick boxes but they are unticked and seem to be nothing to do with reward schemes. I have not yet ordered as I'm waiting for some final graphics but would be interested to hear from anyone who has.MFW #185
