I have about 15 shirts, and am starting a higher position job in the summer, so want to increase my ties. I dont have many, and the ones I do are not that good.

What is the best way to choose 8-9 ties for 15 shirts (plain shirts, whites, blues, purple shirts),

without taking the 15 shirts to the town centre shops?

I dont want to tae 15 shirts to the shops,

and I DONT want random tie colours, which wont end up matching the ties.

- The shirts are open, and have been worn.

  • Why not take pictures of the colours/patterns of the shirts on your phone, make sure you know how close to the colour they are. Just one tip - NEVER wear a striped tie with a striped shirt - just overdoes it!

Also worth bearing in mind that something like a nice gentle blue or green will match most colours.

Buy a job lot on ebay, loads in the wholesale section & the mens clothing.

You could order a couple of dozen ties from e.g. Next online, keep the ones you like and return the unwanted ones for a full refund. Or do the same thing from a store you know will let you return - M&S, Debenhams, etc.

You can do stripes with stripes so long as they are not close in size.

Nope I have ties, a flat cap and bow ties from them, don't buy the tie and hankie sets though, it's the old fashioned fake hankies which are fitted to a card.
Change your search settings to access it from ebay.co.uk
Cheap, look the part and free postage to here.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I know the original post was a while ago but if anyone is looking for ties at the moment, I popped into my local tie rack today and they have LOADS of different ties reduced to £4 and £5 and they are also on a 3 for the price of 2 offer...
