can i freeze yoghurt tubes?

Hi there!
I have some yeo valley yoghurt tubes for my son. He's not been into his yoghurt so much recently so we have 8 tubes left that go off today. Does anyone know if I can freeze these and just take out as needed? Seems such a waste to throw them away.
Thanks so much!

  • Yes you can! I used to buy them when they were heavily reduced on the use by date and i used to freeze them for my son and he would eat them straight from the freezer like an ice lolly!
  • Yes! They're great for the summer as a refreshing but filling snack. I do the same as above and buy them when they're reduced really well.

You can also pop one in a lunchbox in the morning and by lunchtime they're half defrosted half frozen so a nice mix of yoghurt and ice treat :D

I freeze mine all the time. They love it and it takes them longer to eat too, which makes it more of a treat :p

Once I gave my nephew one from the fridge and he almost didn't know what to do with it. Pointed to the freezer and said 'pudding!' as though telling me that's where it should've come from :rotfl: He's 1, btw :p
  • I would double check what it says on the packaging. I buy frubes to freeze for my sons lunches. I nearly bought a different brand in asda the other day (asdas own I think) and they said not suitable for freezing, but I don't know why??

Oooooh thanks so much for the replies. Knew that you'd be able to help! The yoghurts are in the freezer and can be used as needed. He loves chopped fruit covered in yoghurt and these are the perfect size for that.

Loving the old style board! Today I've batch cooked 6 portions of bolognese sauce and made 7 salmon and broccoli fishcakes out of some salmon my mum gave to me. Never would have thought about doing that a few months ago!

    Thanks again. X
