Hello...
Im new to this so go easy on me..
I am wanting to buy a new TV and DVD player from one of those high street electrical stores (No names Mentioned) and i know that I will be tied up and force feed one off those warranty covers that will need me to take out a second mortgage.. Has any one got any idea's were I will get a better deal at a better price?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the TV (unless you want a plasma), but Richer Sounds do one where if you don't use they give you back at the end.0

Further to Benino88 you will probably only have a few days to claim at the end of 3,4 or five years. After this they will likely reject the claim.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Never ceases to amaze me when people attempt to choose covers.
There are lots of different types, that provide different services, that have different clauses and different terms and conditions.
You pay for what you get. Single claim, continuous cover, theft, accidental......some is good, some is pointless, eg, will they use refurbished parts for repairs, what happens if its written off ?? do you get full value back, a devalued value or full, exchange item, vouchers, where do you then have to get your replacement item from, will the company go bust etc....?? What seems hassle free, Think about it all. Then make a choice...
The most sensible thing to do, is if you really want decent cover, seriously factor that in to whatever you are buying and look for the most reputable service, from a reputable seller. Avoid the in your face salesman, and speak to someone who offers everything in a service form...grab leaflets, read them etc...
I made quite a lengthy description and experience in another post not so long ago, might be worth a read perhaps....
