I need some help please with wording. Its for an 18th birthday party invitation. The problem is the young lady who party it is would like men in shirts & tie not tux's and ladies in evening gown but I am unsure of the correct wording to put in the invitation.

Could you not just put at the bottom - dress code: guys - shirt and tie, girls - evening dress. Or something similar

I'd use podperson idea. Just put it in Bold characters so that it sticks out of the main content in the invitation.0
