Moorcroft chasing me for mystery debt

I have had a letter from Moorcroft, absolutely out the blue, claiming that they are acting for Virgin mobile to get £55 out of me.

I am on a DD payment for this mobile, it did get a little screwed up when changing bank accounts but I made card payments and have not heard a thing from virgin. I check my statements online every month - no outstanding amount, and even altered my tariff a couple of weeks ago (upwards by £3 pm). Nobody has mentioned a thing.

Do I go back to virgin or do I go to Moorcroft? I am absolutely brassic and cannot afford this.

Go back to Virgin and if you are sure you are up to date, tell them to call their heavies off or prove the debt to you. Tell Moorcroft that they should butt out, you are dealing with Virgin.

Don't forget to deal with such companies by letters only, and do NOT provide your signature on any of them. No good comes out of phone calls.
