What type of tenancy is this? Have you paid any deposit into a scheme?"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"
Extract from "If" by Rudyard Kipling0 -
If you need to ask, then
join a landlords association;
Read this;
Check out Landlordzone;
and landlord law0 -
I'm sure someone who knows the procedure inside out will be along soon. There are lots of threads already about evictions, you could take a look at some of them, but the general consensus is to make sure you do it right from the start otherwise you'll be wasting time and losing even more money, and that you should get advice either from a solicitor or from the landlord's association that I'm sure you already belong to (or if not that you'll be joining pretty soon
).
Edit: there you go, two got in before me!0 -
Then how can people advise?i wont go into all the details

I was wondering if any landlord could be as naive as you appeared in your first post. But this clears it up for me that you are clearly a troll.0 -
Sounds like a plan to me ........ just remember to pop into the shop and get yourself a soap on a rope before you do though :rotfl:bigblackdog wrote: »if i or my representative enter the property can possesion be taken ? i.e tell the tenant to clear off , i am under the impression that there is f all the tenant can do about it , the police will not be interested as it is a civil matter , quikest way surely .0 -

Why don't you read the tenancy that you issued and see what your right of posession is?
Changing the locks and kicking the tenant out would be a good way for you to end up in court!0 -
You CAN take possession that way. Problem is you MAY not (cf I CAN drive on the M8 @ 120mph but MAY not..) & will (hopefully) find yourself in a cell overnight for unlawful eviction.
By asking such questions you've demonstrated you don't understand the law or your responsibilities or rights. Get educated before your ignorance lands you in jail!!0 -
thanks for your comments , but i cannott afford to keep these people , i have rent to pay myself , and from reading the different landlords forums it may take months to remove this leech .
i have arranged an 'initial' visit for tomorrow , hopefully the tenant will see what is coming , were he to stay in my house rent free , i will let you know how it goesmy favourite food is spare ribs0
