job interview tomorrow

I have a job interview tomorrow and am really nervous. I get so nervous at times I hide in the toilets and don't attend. Wouldn't be worth going though as it £145 round trip to attend.

The job is for a field officer at Tilbury Power station. Does anyone know of it? I'm from Yorkshire so have never been to that area of the UK.

I only have a short information clip of the job, I cant find anything else on it. Its http://www.wowjobs.co.uk/job/Field+Officer+-+Energy+and+Environment+Centre-npower-tilburyessex-5230646

What do you think it will pay?

It is npower they don't pay much, which is probably the reason no salary is posted on this job. Negotiate for a good wage with them.

I'm wondering how you got a interview, i never even get a reply.
    Owed out = lots.

what do you think I'd need to earn to afford to live in this area?
Is it a nice area for children?

no idea, you'll find out when you get there, might be a waste of travel costs too though.

    Good luck :)
Take deep breaths, read through your job application, the job description and Person specification so that you know what you've said on your application and Do Not Go Hide ;)

(I'm sorry I cannot answer your questions about pay and the area but wanted to say good luck)

Are you a recent graduate? My Uni's career's department run courses on giving presentations and they go through all the 'how to control anxiety' stuff. Also, try the University's counselling services.
  • Tilbury itself is quite a dump to be honest, rather a rough place, run-down, but there are much nicer areas near by. So if you get the job look to live a few miles away from it.

It's in the south east so houses etc are quite expensive, but there's plenty of rental properties around.

This is the sort of job people do for the love of it, rather than make loads of money.
Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.
