Cheap/budget live music central scotlan

I'm getting married at the birds and bees in Stirling on May 28.

We are having a budget wedding and hoping to do the whole thing for under £4,000.

So far, we're pretty much on budget - but I'm trying to bring costs down, as it's looking like we might drop down to one income a month before the wedding!!

We are hoping to have some live music for 1.5 hours during the reception and maybe for 30mins while people are getting settled for the ceremony - so max 2hrs. As we are just having a DJ in the evening - but would like something live for a while too.

I was initially looking at some toe-tapping scottish music, and have a couple of guys that will do some scottish music for around £150 - but they just don't blow me away - think as I'm only getting half the group for that amount, they've lost their edge if that makes sense?

So - does anyone know of any guitarists/singers/groups, etc... that could do anything really - am happy with either scottish or something a bit more current.

My max is £200.

Thanks

Can't help too much as I don't know Scotland, but there's a couple of websites I know of that allow you to search for bands. Can't vouch at all for what they're like to use or how good the bands are on there.

A good way to find a band that are in your price range would be to go to local pubs, folk clubs etc and see what bands are going out doing the business, then you can have a listen to them and speak to them directly

Only prob you might have is that alot of bands will charge you for the whole night even if they are only playing for an hour. Ill ask around and see if I can find any for you. Used to work there and have quite a few friends who have lived there for years and might know of someone. x
