Speaking as someone from another "hated minority" (Students - remember the thread the other week), then sometimes posts on here can get a little bit OTT. Unfortunately it's not the tone of the person typing that makes the difference, it's the tone of the person reading.

    Ooh that's profound...

I totally agree. What I say to people is that if you have just read something that winds you up, read it again imagining the poster is smiling. It puts a completely different emphasis to the post and highlights how easy it is to misinterpret

    try it

Very educated response... See being a student is worth it ! ;)

I certainly wasnt angry, I only get angry at Moorefcroft conversations. Ima very placid person really ! (honest !!)

I think the problem is when some people post responses and dont get the answer they are looking for, they turn it into a negative rather than hearing out people opinions.

Anywhays.. I wont loose sleep... Hurry up annie, where is the tea.. Im waiting to go to B&Q.
  • Can I join you and extend the afternoon tea time a bit? I could do with a bit of company since I'm off work sick with this really really horrid cold that is going about (must be bad for me to be off).
If you don't mind can I bring along my Lidl coffee (am used to it now!) but a cake or a scone sounds lovely. Are they fruit scones?

Thanks TNG. I will. I love a good argument. Should have been a lawyer, but didn't fancy the wigs.
