    House worth £300k. Flats cost £100k each. Sell house, buy 2 flats, live in one of them, rent the other out and have £100k in the bank.

    Obviously work with the figures your way but even buying 2 flats in an over 60s with warden scheme can work out and they are quite highly prized, achieving decent rentals.
