I've started an account with top cash back after hearing about it on this site. Last night I mentioned to my OH I've got nearly £120 in there - to which he replied am I sharing it?
Cos he pays for 1/2 the pet insurance he should benefit from the cashback for this??
This is the only purchase that is something joint between us, everything else is mine.
I'm using my tcb money for Christmas, so I'll give him his £10 then!!
Anyone else sharing?
(obv on our joint bills I've always passed on any saving I've made)

When we do the pot, we both put it in so we share it when it's opened. Is only fair after all.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

Hmm - well, any cashback that I get for purchases I have made for me / my family / friends / pay for with 'my' money... I keep. But anything that is bought for us / the house / or paid for on the joint CC goes into the house account. But as I am on a mission at the mo to clear the OD on the house account, virtually every penny cashback is going in there!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -

Hi (again)
My hubby and I have joint finances. Although I manage them all and to be fair he doesn't know what I do or pay from one day to the next he just knows it gets done! I have a sealed pot which I have been putting a pound a day in since 1st Jan and although the challenge is to open it 31st Dec I think we will open ours on the 1st Dec as we are going on our first family hol / christmas break in December...
I also have a Christmas Savings, I have been paying £10 a week into this since 1st Jan so there is £70 in it at the mo... Hubby has no idea about this - mainly because if I did he would find a reason to "need" the money before December so it will be a pleasant surprise for him in December when its Christmas and were normally struggling and I will be able to go "dont worry - I have saved this throughout the year" and I will share with him, but then as I say our finances go into the same account anyway so he is actually contributing... he just doesnt know it

We now have completely joint finances. The only 'individual' money we have is if we are given any for Christmas or birthday, as well as the £50 each of 'spends' we give ourselves each month. I kept my finances separate, then partially separate for a long time after we married, but once we had tackled our debts together as a team, it seemed a good time to merge our money together and as the chief budgetter, I have to say it's a lot easier to keep in control of everything.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
