RE: Debt free diary..... the beginning!

Hi - I think to do a diary will keep me motivated to stick to our budget to clear our £15k of debt by the end of 2011. Have started by spending my day off pulling together a budget spreadsheet & going through Jan to see how much money we actually spent - we managed to spend £500 on food shopping!!! So step 1 is for us to have a budget and stick to it. I am also looking at consolidating our credit cards ( which are just about to come off the introductory rates ) - the barclaycard platinum deal that I saw on here is what i am going for which will save us £200. My husband did his bit last night by dropping our sky bill by 50% and also saving money on our phone bill and gas & elec by switching suppliers. Well we will see how it goes - so determined to end this year debt free!
