hi
i have for some time been on repayment schedules to try and pay off my credit cards.
Since Goldfish were taken over by Barclays they have decided to cancel my repayment scheme and put me back on normal repayments.I am ok with this as it mean it can ony help my credit records and i intend to repay more than the min every month. My situation was looking better anyway and i never wanted to remain on repayments for ever
However in my last statement they say i have missed a payment of £10.00 and my next min payment is 33.03.
they have said they can take money from my bank account if i fail to make the payment on time,i bank with Barclays.
My question is,i know they are legally aloud to do this, but how much are they allowed to take. For instance is it just the missed pament of the full balance? All so if taking the money from my account means me being overdrawn are they still allowed? i ahve a 500 od which i have used, i can go over this but am charged £25.00 every 3 days i am over the agree OD.
thank you for your help

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/40/40_setoff.htmthe debt must be due and payable. For example, if a customer misses making a loan payment, then (at least until it calls in the loan) the firm can take only the missed payment – not the balance of the loan.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
