Working on and around Christmas Day

Hi everyone,
I am currently in full time employment on a casual contract. The place I work at shuts for two weeks around Christmas and I won't get paid. I was wondering what kind of companies I could approach that would take people on around Christmas.
I don't celebrate Christmas so I would gladly work Christmas and boxing day as well as new years eve and day (all the holidays), I was thinking that some companies may need staff on Christmas day but have shortages
I would prefer office/contact centre work but would consider warehouse type work as long as it was light as I am pregnant. I have phoned a few agencies but they say the work drops off at this time of year.
Any advice and ideas would be gladly appreciated.
Thankyou

why don't you celebrate christmas? just wondering.
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Tomorrow never come's as today is yesterday and tomorrow is today

I work for the local emergency Dr's service and they are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year so that might be an option. There are emergency Dr's all over the country and it is nice light work. I work nights so that tops up the income nicely. Other than that, maybe hotel reception work or a pull cord service for the elderly. Just a few thoughts.

Computerwoman - My gf will be working Xmas day as we're both Jewish and don't really get bothered about December 25. She's a nurse and does it so she can get new years eve off instead. I suspect i'm gonna spend Dec 25th on my own doing DIY (grumble)0

I would also suggest the hospitality trader, reception, bar, waitressing work etc is usually easy to come by over xmas. One day I might be more organised...........
