I started the stupid idea of having a new kitchen put in, it now seems everything needs replacing (her indoors says so)
so we are sourcing a new table, I think we are looking for a round 1 now but it needs to be an extendable 1
But phew the prices are high!
so any good sitess/shops I should check out please?:T

lol, shhh
the chairs are actually fine and I've 'told her' (read she says she is keeping these) we only need a table!
the chairs are the leather look, brown, straight back with pine legs but I'm maybe thinking maple table.0 -
I have a lovely table in my dining room (OH has always said it's a waste of a room as it's only used two or three times a year!). We always sit in the kitchen for dinners and now my youngest is out of a high chair and sitting on a booster, the square table that seated four was too much of a squash!!
So I started looking around and the cheapest 6 seater I could find was over £350! I couldn't warrant paying that much for an everyday table and chairs (and particularly as my two youngest get a little carried away with crayons!!!) so looked on eBay and got one for £105 - it is fab! it was only about 10 miles away and I am so pleased with it!
A lot of the tables on there are people who are downsizing and simply haven't got room for them - have a look - you may find a little gem - someone who has only used it a few times - hence will be in excellent condition!!

If not new is acceptable to SHMBO
Try your nearest auction anything resonably modern will be really cheap no one wants them.
Budget for the chairs they may be OK now but if the table comes and they don't look right.
take one of your chairs when viewing, colors look very different in shop to home.0 -
I have liked some of the offer stuff on Hovells.co.uk, not the cheapest place but good value and good quality.0

i just got a lovely white oval extending one in the sale at BHS Widnes for £200 am really pleased with it as i have seen it online in another store for over £600. I just have to wait for BHS to have sale now as i want the "jam chairs" to go with them reduced to £125 each but still too much, till then we can all stand round and admire the table. They did have some other styles in there though.0
