Is it till spit time already?

I got a till spit from Tesco yesterday £10 off a £70 shop. I was getting them very time I shopped for a few months last year so hope to be getting a few more this year.
Has anyone else had any?

    oh I HATE these things.

We're trying sooo hard to cut back on everything, because our expenses will rise hugely in September.

So I make a list, go round the store buying ONLY what is on the list, deny myself this & that, but make sure I've got at least then next weeks shopping . Get to the till, pay out my 40-odd quid, and then get a slip saying if I go in and I'm profligate in the next 7 days, I can save £10.

    it's just chuffing frustrating ...
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • easy, when you do your big shop, do a 1 or 2 item shop first, get the till spit and then do your big shop straight after.

I've never ever had one of these from Tesco's, and I've shopped there at least once a week for the past 15 years! :( I feel left out!

I got till spits last Sunday from Tesco's, 5p off a Litre of fuel, although I think you get that for over £50.00 spend anyway, (I was shopping for my Mum not me) £4.00 off a £30.00 spend - more manageable than the £50.00 spend that you usually get :money: and an obscure one for Hovis, :D can't remember the details for that one.

Sainsburys spat out about 4 the week before as well.

I'd prefer to get £3 off a £20 spend, it's a free jar of Kenco and much easier to use for everyday fruit and veg.
Spending £70 is harder for us but I'll try and get as much value as I can out of the 3for2 dog food offer.
I've already got 9 slabs of 12 tins of dog food so haven't a clue where I'll store it all, maybe build a store out of dog food tins :rotfl:

  • I have been shopping in Morrisons more recently as it has been more convenient as girls have activities where Morrisons is located. Because I haven't been shopping in Tesco so much I got £9 of £60 spend last week. Was only a £20 shop.I used it following week then I bought a TV on Monday night as girls TV broke and got another £9 off £60 which I will use for next weeks shop. Find this happens when I haven't done a big shop there for a while .Never used to happen when Tesco was my main shop.
I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!
  • It looks like the moral is change your supermarket regularly. It seems loyalty doesn't count for anything does it? The till spits I have been getting from Sainsbury's (my usual supermarket) haven't been worth getting for a while now. Unfortunately it's a 20 mile round trip to my nearest Tesco or I could be tempted back there.
