what a load of rubbish !!the rising price of oil doesn't cause inflation.
Thanks - I have been for many years.I think you ought to do something constructive and educate yourself.
That's why I have a balanced portfolio, take personal responsibility, plan my finances..........blah blah blah
Better than sitting on my fat behind and whinging about my lot eh??
More rubbish.rising prices are a symptom of inflation, not a cause.
Rising commodity prices from abroad are not caused by inflation.
It's because of supply and demand.
If there are storms and a harvest is bad prices go up whatever the commodity.
It's not caused by inflation and it's not theft.
Do you also think the VAT increases are caused by inflation?0 -
What are the causes of inflation? Educate me
At the present time it's mainly oil prices and VAT

Most businesses I can thinkg of are in the opposite situation - rising costs but unable to raise prices.0 -
You don't exactly have to be sa sophisticated investor to recognise inflation risk and buy an index-linked product.
Like an NS&I Index Linked Certificate ?
I've had them in the past, and was about to invest in one last year, until they were withdrawn. Their withdrawal made me think inflation was about to take off, and it did.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0
