Garden Shredder

Options
I would like to get a decent garden shredder as the Spring is nearly here. Any ideas from you gardeners out there?

What sort of price range are you looking at?

  • About £120 or thereabouts would be right!

    Two here at Tesco's

Both under £120. Not sure how good they are etc

Just as a bit of info. I bought one from B & Q last year... Cost about £80. It was Rubbish and could only shred really thin branches. I think shredders are one place where you have to spend a fair amount to get something decent
I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

I would agree totally with this.
My brother bought one at a similar price and it was a
    complete waste of money.
The thing is awkward to use, noisy as hell and just about chops down the odd leaf or two.
If you are going to get one, get a good make and quiet one.
  • Hi
Would this be the right place to ask if anyone know where to get a decent garden shredder at a knock down price? We have recently moved and the garden is pretty wild. A shredder would be a boon. We have already filled our brown garden waste bin in only an hour. At this rate it will be back to Christmas again before we clear everything!
    Many thanks

P.S Sorry - just seen post later in this list re shredders. Ta xx

I've merged these two together just to neaten it up a bit

Just looking into these now - anyone know of any offers - want one quite powerful while being fairly quiet!?

    Thanks
