Advice on dealing with Robinson Way please

Hi guys,
I had a letter from Robinson Way a few weeks ago regarding a debt that I had at least 10 years ago to Next.
This debt got CCJ'd about 8 or 9 years ago and Moorcroft were "looking after" it. Now I came to a full and final settlement agreement with Moorcroft and paid it and the CCJ is no longer on my credit report. I think the original debt was around £400 and I paid £300 to clear it. I don't remember ever receiving a receipt from Moorcroft though.
Robinson Way are now chasing me for £101 they say I owe to Next (which I suppose technically I do). I wrote and asked them to supply a credit agreement for this amount. They've written back to me today saying that they haven't got a credit agreement due to the age of the debt and that makes it unenforceable.
So basically my question is - what do I do about this?
Thanks in advance!

I would say nothing, it sounds like they won't chase you further as they are saying its unenforceable. They shouldn't be able to mark anything on your credit file as this debt will already have been defaulted and dropped off your file years ago. That said it might be worth checking in a month or so that they haven't put anything on - if they had you'd have to dispute it.
Just to note if you do any full & finals in future make sure you get a letter from the DCA first to say your payment will be in full & final and that nobody will chase you further for the debt before you make your payment (and then make sure you hand on to this letter).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
