Fredrickson International HELP ME

Hi all,
I just received a letter from Fredrickson International.
Its for money owed and also from Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd??
I am sorting my debts out and paying token amounts but I do not know what this debt is in relation too.
I have read on search engine could be an old debt maybe statute barred (also may not be).
Basically indicating that I have failed to pay the amount in question.
I have checked my files and cant find a reference number to match.
My question is:
Do I contact them with a letter of the following:
You have contacted me regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by myself.
I would point out that I have no knowledge of any such debt being owed to Arrow Global Guernsey Limited.
I am familiar with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPUTR 2008 and the Office of Fair Trading's Guidance on debt collection), which states that it unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when it is uncertain that they are the debtor in question.
I would also point out that the OFT say under the Guidance that it is unfair to pursue third parties for payment when they are not liable. AND in not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods.
Furthermore ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment. I would also remind you, that I am aware of the 'MALG' Guidance/Code that you should comply with.
I would ask that no further contact be made concerning the above account unless you can provide evidence as to my liability for the debt in question.
I await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed.
Otherwise I will have no option but to make a complaint to Trading Standards and also inform the Office Of Fair Trading of your actions.
I look forward to your reply.
OR do I not contact them at all?
If it is quite an old debt (and I cant be for sure) will sending the letter above jeopordise anything?
Your quick responses would be much appreciated.
Chris

Yep send a prove it letter.
It could be that one of the debts you are currently paying has been sold on. It could be a debt you are not paying (which then could be statute barred or not) or it could be someone else's debt altogether. All are quite possible with Fredrickson.
If its already SB then sending any letter won't affect it being SB. Should it be nearly SB then that letter won't count as acknowledgement of the debt.
Only bit of your letter I'm not sure about is the MALG bit - I would probably only include that if you have a history of mental health problems - others may say differently.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks for that - will send letter now.

I'd be careful with this company I got a call yesterday from them when I refused to give any details they said it was in relation to O2 broadband. I had O2 broadband a few years ago and when I left them I didn't owe anything or at least haven't ever received any invoices or letters to say I did owe them anything. So either O2 are really bad and leave it a few years to contact people who owe them money or this company is trying it on."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger
