Join a Book Club for Presents

I am sure someone else has already thought of this and it's listed somewhere else, but as an MSE virgin, I couldn't see it. I have just joined a book club (World Books) and got six cracking Christmas presents for £7.25. You have to pay P+P and have to commit to buy at least four books in the next 12 months but some of the introductory offers are as little as 1p.

I've done that several times over the years - World Books and BFC - four more books isn't usually a problem either - especially if you buy them all together online (no postage).
If you're thinking of joining one this year, and are a Pigsback member, they currently give 1000 points for each membership
(And if you haven't read the thread recently, the £10 vouchers now cost 1000 points, rather than the 1150 they did before - just got 6 books from World Books for what is effectively £2.55 delivered

we used to do this with BFC. We have a lot of nieces and nephews and it was easy to fill the required commitment over a year.
Ive just joined the fantasy science fiction club through PB (DS and I love that sort of book)but no idea if and when I'll receive any points as they seem to be all over the place with allocating points.0 -
Ouch, am really cross. I am still learning a lot and keep trying to remember to check through Pigsback first if I am going to buy something...and of course, I've gone and joined World Books without checking through Pigsback first - what a wally! Thank you - a lesson well learned and now I will stick a post it on my computer saying "Check Pigsback first"0
