oops, couple of things to add today
spoke to boss about applying for a raise and bonus - meeting her in two weeks. Have to go through a big long process but I think I stand a reasonable chance. Could be worth about an extra £1000 this year and I should know about May time.
Also, applied for the pre paid gold mastercard - need something for my internet food shop now I can use my credit card on the DASThis was the best one I could find so fingers crossed it works well!

Ah, now I can get on with some knitting
Just had a really frustrating phonecall with a bl00dy call centre. Grrr. Really frustrates me how it can be so hit and miss with call centres - call one day and get told one thing, nothing happens, call back to get told another and by the time you're done you've told 3 different people the same story 3 times and get told 3 different things!!:mad::mad:0 -

I didn't manage my NSD - I discovered our milk was out of date yesterday, so nipped to the co-op. Lots of bargains though - lots of half price stuff...and a little treat, a Closer mag sneaked in my basket..shhhhhhh:o
But, my lovely friend sent me 'Room' to read - will add it to the pile of books I keep buying, arghhh, I'm addicted to Amazon;)
So, HM curry tonight and the Brits on tv...sounds like a plan:T
Have a lovely evening!
Ohh thanks for this reminder, I did forget.hmmm a curry , nice, yum yum!!! enjoy!!!:D

Well good news at last!
My mum has given me a cheque for £1000 as an early payment on my inheritance from my gran - the rest will come when they sell her house. Wasn't expecting anything so its all a bonus!
I have been very good and put it in the bank already - £770 to the untouchable savings to make that a total of £3000, £180 to the emergency accessible savings to make that £255 (aiming for £500) and £50 to me for a treat!
That makes me feel a lot better about the cash situation - feel like I have a bit of a cushion again:).
If I can get my act together and claim back my overpaid tax of £220 I'll be just under my target of £500 for emergency cash. And that's without anything I can save this month;)
Also today....- Did a survey in the bakery and got a £1 voucher to spend there - got 3 gingerbread men:rotfl:
- Been paid
- Bought a few tops but have decided that at least 2 are going back - don't really like or need them
- Mum bought me lunch at Las Iguanas - yummy!
- Have decided to go back to Slimming World on Thursday
- Checked freezer list and meal plan
