  • Boring and safe but I work p/t in a supermarket. I get discount in store and often buy canned food/damaged packaging food for 10 or 20p even though it's worth at least 5x that on the shop floor. It also pays more than NMW.

Did anybody see the guy on Bbc breakfast this morning, he'd started to do something similar to the bloke who started on Ebay with a red paper clip and ended up owning a house. This bloke this morning started with 1p and is trying to swop-up. He'd had a goldfish; guitar; bike, and now he's got land in Bulgaria (i think), not quite enough to build a house yet .... only 10 sq yds.
He mentioned his website/blog something like 'i want to swop 1p', but the breakfast website will have better details.

Sorry to be picky, but the original guy did not end up owning a house (although a lot of the headlines said he did). He got something like a weeks rent of the house for whatever he swapped (could of been longer, a month or so), but never owned it.

I thought of trying this myself, but cant see how you swap stuff on ebay.

He was offered a rent free house for 1 year in Phoenix - but I think he traded it. He did however get a house for his original paperclip in Kipling, Saskatchewan, by giving the town a film opportunity!

And it had nothing to do with Ebay as far as I can see.

His blog about it is HERE.
  • I can't work out of the house due to personal problems, but really need to earn a full time living, though I know that I might have to work a few different home working jobs to achieve this in the short term.

I am trying to do: freelance writing. Affiliate work. And I have a small private job I do from home, but that is really quiet at the moment, and I'm earning just small pocket change, which isn't nearly what I need to be earning.

Thanks for starting this list hopefully someone will post something I can give a go.
;) Thanks to TS, BM, LR and the others for great help with 'P+I' ;)
  • I do Internet marketing, has earnt me a tidy sum over the last few years. Worth getting into if you're not frightened of building basic websites.
