Free Pizza for Kids at Dominos

Popped into my local Dominos Pizza tonight. I hadn't been there in a while & I noticed that they've got a poster on the door advertising things & one on the wall inside. Whilst waiting for my pizza to be made, my 5 year old dd was watching them make it (she loves making sure they've got our order right - bless - as well as being nosy about what everyone else is having!) while I read the poster. It said that they give behind the scenes tours to children of any age & the children get a chance to actually make their own pizza! Pretty cool I thought.

My dd went off to ask about it & the chap in charge asked her if she wanted to make one tonight. Well all her Christmases came at once!! She got whisked off to behind the counter, was taught how to wash her hands properly (including putting on that alcohol gel stuff they now have to use), had a clean apron put on her, & was given some empty dough boxes to stand on. She had 3 members of staff helping her & she loved every minute.

They taught her how to make the base for the pizza with her doing most of the work, then a man put on her choice of sauce, & next they moved her along to the toppings section where she put on all the toppings of her choice (as many & as much as she liked). The man then put her finished pizza into the oven (after I'd taken a zillion photos on my phone camera of course). Finally she had a guided tour round the whole shop where everything was explained to her (including the store room where they keep the spare dough & toppings). After the tour the pizza was just about done so it got taken out of the oven & she was even allowed to cut it up herself plus get a free dip to go with it!

All in all she had a fantastic time - this really made her night, if not her entire year!! I heartily recommend that you all go to check out your local Dominos & take advantage of this fantastic offer while it lasts.

Thank you Dominos for making a little girl very very happy!

  • Awww bless. Well done to Dominos that is a fantastic idea!
  • Our daughter had this at her holiday club, apparently they are allocated a budget to do community activities, ring your local head office and enquire, they came to her holiday club taught all the children how to make the pizzas, took them away, cooked them and brought them back, each child took home a boxed pizza free of charge.....hats off to them
