how long for JSA

guys i am just wondering

i signed on to the JSA today and wanted to know if anyone knows how long the first payment takes? do i have to wait the full 2 weeks before i get anything?

    Yep I think so. I only know about JSA through my professional life, but I believe you have to sign on to get the benefit. So yep, I think that's after your first sign on after the fortnight

    also, you may not be that desperate but there are places such as the salvation army that do food parcels - pasta, beans etc. They're great and you can get them really quickly

  • there not open until tommorow night...ill go along and have a look...but i would feel really bad im sure that there is others who would need this much more than me

    It doesn't work like that! Just because you have a roof over your head doesn't mean you don't need to eat!! The service is there for whoever needs it
