Natwest Overdraft

I'm currently a few hundred pounds over my overdraft and am incurring £50 interest per month and around £30 in fees. Natwest are reuesting full repaymet of O/D which I cannot afford. Is there a letter I can send to come to an agreement for repayment of this debt?

Thanks

  • It's a matter of negotiation between you and the bank.

    How much is the overdraft?

One compromise might be for them to progressively reduce it.

You need to point out politely, but firmly, that you cannot pay them money you don't have.

Speak to Natwest... honestly, they are one of the most helpful banks I have ever dealt with. When I was in the same situation, I explained I couldnt pay it all and they put me on a payment plan straight away, no questions asked. Seriously... call them... they will be very helpful and understanding.
