No advice re your query but congratulations both on the job & for being brave enough to make an attempt to overcome your anxiety/depression.

It may help others more in the know about such things to let you know any benefit/help entitlement you may get if you can post how much salary you'll be receiving.

Good luck in new job anyway & hope you'll be happy there.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

hi, what kind of help are you looking for??, you should be able to get some help for clothing for your new job
  • are you on income support? If so you need to see a lone parent advisor at the jobcentre they will be able to help you and advise you with something called a better off calculation, ring them. Many congrats to you well done.....

Congratulations. IF it's full time you should be able to apply for working tax credit. Good advice about seeing loan parent advisor about back to work benefits etc.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • first of all well done !!!!

r u claiming is/ib if so entitled to housing run and counci;l tax run on for 4 weeks after your is/ib claim ends

new clothes etc you should be able to get a job grant to cover that from jobcentre.( these can be for anything to get you to work/make it easier)

next you need to look in to claiming working tax/childrens tax credits and childcare costs..... also put a new claim in when the hb/ct run on runs out you still may qualify to housing ben and council tax

the best thing to do is take yourself off to the cab and they should sort it all out for you to make sure you get everything you are entitled to .

    well done and good luck:j

well done. ask your lone parent advisor about a back to work bonus, don't know if they still do this??? and when i signed off for the very last time (a few years ago now but still worth checking out) i got £500 as i had been declaring the child maintenance i received off my ex (NOT THROUGH THE CSA).

getting out there will probably do your illness a bit of good too! go for it.

    well done lisa !!

the back to work bonus is £40 per week paid for 1 year only, and isnt considered when working out any hb or ct benefit
