Selling old white goods

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I've just had my new wshing machine delivered and had only advertised my old one on my work intranet up until today. I haven't managed to sell it, even though only selling for £30! Can anyone tell me of a decent place to sell it, not ebay as I need to gone quickly...my kitchen is tiny!

You won't get quicker than ebay. Just put it on a 3 day auction.
Even local paper will take a week. There are others who will take it away for free - rag and bone man etc. Even a local second hand shop will be unlikely to offer more than a few quid for it unless it's nearly new and in excellent condition.

If you just want to dispose of WM and don't want money for it, try Freegle (formerly Freecycle).

Try searching facebook for a local "for sale / wanted group" - theres quite a few for my local area and people sell all sorts of things on there. I've sold some bits and they went really quickly, plus no fees for listing so worth a try.

  • Is it big, does it take a lot of room? As for me, I probably wouldn't buy such an apparatus, as long as there are FREE options available online: thewishingmachine.com
  • It's worth about £12 in scrap metal, for the drum inside.

try https://www.gumtree.com find your nearest big city/town and post in the for sale section. I have sold 2 fridge/freezers that way within a couple of days.

Local paper online is good anything under £50 is free to list usually. I have had an enquiry before its been in the paper so it can work.

ebay on a 5 day listing so ends at weekend more people are likely to bid and pick up straight away that way.
