Santander should electronically release their charge on your property at Land Registry and then forward to you the title information document (comprising an uptodate register) together with any pre-registration documents if you have requested them. However, allot of building society's and banks no longer hold deeds as they have been destroyed.
  • We just paid off our mortgage too and BANK OF SCOTLAND also told us we needed a solicitor to instruct the discharge of the bank's security......

Does anyone know what sort of price we should expect to pay a solicitor for taht?

    Thanks
