Need Help with Cover Letter

Hi All,

I am applying for a internal vacancy at work but they have requested a cover letter to say whay I am suitable for the job and a upto date CV.

I have never done a Cover Letter need some help please

As above, you will find a multitude of examples online if you search.

Basically you need to tell them that you are applying, tell them why this role within the company and then tell them why you are the best person for the job.

For example (will obviously need a lot of input/changing from the OP)

(blah = information you have)

"Dear blah

I am writing to apply for blah which i saw advertised in/on blah. [Insert reason why you think this is natural progression from your current role]

I think this role is great because blah and I could do/be blah and it is a natural progression from my current role. I love this company because it is blah and I can see myself in this role for blah years.

The skills my current role are blah, blah and blah and these are perfect for the new role. I am excellent because blah. I could give you all the excellent things such as blah.

I look forward to the opportunity of discussing my application with you further
