I'm in this week - thanks to FCC for the lists and everyone for the thread.

It's taken me over a year to realise that I will have to sort out the house by doing a bit every day and not relying on long cleaning sessions. As a result it looks a little bit better than it did last Sunday evening, so that's a start and enough motivation to carry on.

    Today's list:
[STRIKE]bake cake for friend's birthday and take card etc round
    [/STRIKE]
HHC didn't happen, but odd bits done
finish laundry - last load need to dry
    [STRIKE]finish DS2's homework [/STRIKE]
school stuff - to-do list first so I can prioritise (WIP)
phone restaurant in Germany for quote
[STRIKE]tea [/STRIKE]unblock drain in back yard - started
Also done: cleared up after tea, DW on, DS2 bathed and in bed, some stuff ready for tomorrow

I'm back to posting once a day until half-term from Friday. :j

Put a couple of bits on ebay.

Time for a quick cup of tea now and then to sort out my receipts drawer/check statements before bed.

I bought a ''vintage'' side table and some sconces last week for our hall and DH just help me fix the sconces up. The hall still looks dowdy in daylight, but with a candle out there it looks quite vintage at night. Nicer of course, because I did get those stairs CLEARED last week. (but had terrible headaches so didn't update list here).

Starting from a really fairly decent base here. Worst day for me will be sitting room. Lots of outside extras if the weather holds.

  • Hi
I just want to say thanks for the continued thoughts for Diva & a massive thanks to those of you who have been kind enough to donate .. I'm delighted to say the target of £100 has been raised - that is fantastic news.

Thanks jjef It's going to be a hard week ... it seems to be getting more difficult by the day. There are so many things I want to tell her & share with her ... she would be thrilled to think everyone on here was being so kind.
I'm lucky that I have her OH & Tris to talk to ... we are drawing strength from each other at the moment & I think Diva would like the fact we are looking out for each other.

So let's continue to wear purple, keep the candles burning & remember a very special lady :A

Love to all of you xx

  • Hello all - I am in again for my second week. Upstairs till in CHAOS but downstairs feels like it's coming together a bit more - last week on the thread really helped. Didn't manage to do everything on the lists but I have to say I did a lot more than I would have done normally. Will try to post during the week but I find if I sit down to read all the posts it takes me quite a while to work through them all. Will do my best and thanks to all for the lists, the motivation and inspiration...My plan this week is to keep on top of downstairs so that I can blitz one of the bedrooms at the weekend.

    Love to all

We have mini eggs. They were intended for the top of the [STRIKE]charcoal briquettes[/STRIKE] cakes.

Here you go, Piggers! [chucks half a packet Northwards]

Cheers chuck.. DD1 grabbed them first.. so away to Mr T's we go!

Pigpen that list means my kitchen is getting a full spring clean  have you been spying on me?

Hell yes!! ... Your kitchen is gross I looked in ALL the cupboards and it was messy..

Piggers I expect there's a reason but can't DS1 go and stay with XH for a while? He was moaning about the others not going. I know they didn't see eye to eye before but maybe now would be a good time.

    Hugs all round x

Last time they were in a house together I got punched the face standing between them to stop them beating each other into a pulp! KH hates him and is horrible!

Lav.. I am waiting to hear back from the archbishop and the mean and nasty bigotted minister

He brought them back at 8:15.. they were in bed within 20 minutes.. BUT he has agreed to have them 2 consecutive weekends.. first 2 and 4th ones in March which I will need by then. Actually I need them now.. :( but it is something I can look forward to.. I guess. The girls have been bathed, DS2 and DD2 STINK.

Uniforms are washed and mostly dried.. they have enough for tomorrow!

Oddly.. Tiddles always goes to his wearing 2 matching socks, he has bought her socks there.. BUT .. today she came home wearing a white sock..and a pink sock.. completely different... *shrug*

Anyone need anything from shop? I am walking so not too much.. and the till is mine! and I don't have ID :p
