Wedding Rings - Beaver Brooks or Ernest Jones?

Hi all
We are both planning to buy our wedding rings next week and are unsure of where to buy them. We would each like an 18ct white gold ring 3 & 4mm. The price seems to differ greatly between the two jewellers for the same type of rings.
Would there be much difference in quality between Beaverbrooks and Ernest Jones?

I don't know about the difference in quality but we got my hubby to be's ring from Ernest Jones and its lovely. If i remember correctly beaverbrooks were dearer and I can't see how they would be much better quality than the one we got from ernest jones....it was as nice as some we'd seen in an independant jeweller for over £1000 more!!! Its worth trying the independant jewellers too, I got a white gold one (OH's is platinum) and it was much cheaper then the smae thing in either of the ones you mention.0

I recently bought an engagement ring from Ernest Jones and was able to get £100 off the asking price simply by asking if they could do me a deal if I bought the ring there and then so that might be worth a try.
I also know that Quidco do 14% off Ernest Jones if you shop online through them, so have a look in the shop, see what the best deal you can get is and then either haggle or use the cashback through Quidco.
Hope this helps.0 -
I also managed to get £87.50 off a Ernest Jones ring - 1st visit the price was £375 and the lady said she could do 10% discount, however the price increased from £375 to £425 within a couple of days. I spoke to the manager and they honored the reduced price so £337.50 for a £425 ring0
