As the weather isn't particularly balmy yet I'd be thinking of something baked with custard. For some inexplicable reason I have been having a hankering for jam roly-poly for some time now. What about an Apple Charlotte or Apple Pan Dowdy?0

18th century tart is made with apples and eggs, and is delicious. I have the recipe in my FP recipe book, but it's online here.
