I happened to be in Tesco in Reading last night around 10.30.
They were taking down all the valentines stuff and putting it into crates off the shelves. Looks like its going somewhere and not goign to be reduced. The stuff they were putting away was all the heart cushions/throws, teddies, and wine bottles.

I just read on facebook today that apparantly one of the stores here has tins of Roses and Quality Street (from down the 'Valentines' aisle) for £2.50. Would be good to keep because the dates on them was Oct & Nov 2011. Not sure if this all stores and whether any other chocs included though - might be worth a try.

Thanks for this. I was in Tesco late last night and they also had greatly reduced the amount of Valentine stuff and replaced it with clothes. But there was no sign of any reductions. No way had they sold it all, so I am wondering where they put it, and why .

£2,50 is a great price for the tinned sweets and i will look out for those. Thanks guys. :T

  • Tins for 2.50 is a great deal! Ive just popped into Tesco (for half price Tetley!) and didnt see the tins, but if you see them its well worth a grabbit!

I saw a fair bit of Valentines stuff half price just, I got the heart shaped box of Ferrero Rocher for £3.50, originally £7 (although Im sure I saw it for £5 at the weekend!) still nice buy as they are hubby's favourite. They also have the huge soft toy dogs £5 from £10, and the valentines cupcakes, choccies etc half price, hth.
  • I went to my local last night and stayed till closing the lady was humping all stuff onto crates but no sign of any furthur reductions. Hardly any stuff left apart from lots of cards, a few large heart cushions and some soft toys and a few chocs. I picked up a heart cushion reduced from 5 quid to 3 and a heart nightie reduced from 4 quid to 2 apart from that there was no sign they were reducing furthur. I did not go up this morning so could'nt say if they had done it today but by the looks of it the lady was taking the remaining stuff of the shelves and back out the back

maybe they are going to put it away for next year, bring it out for another occasion or maybe the lines are normal standard lines and they would get put with the normal stock

Been into my local Tesco this evening. They didn't have much Valentines stuff left but did have a nice heart shaped box of praline chocolates (think they were cadburys) for £2.50 - better than half price. They also had heart shaped cookie cutters, confetti, keyrings etc for 50p each.

M&S had quite a lot reduced today - got some tasty love bug cakes for 49p. Most things at M&S are half price.
