I wanna clean my carpets (homebase carpet cleaner)

Options
Hi

Im wanting to clean my carpets and I see they have in Homebase a carpet cleaner that you can hire for the day.

Just wondered if anyone has hired one before and if they were any good or would i be better off getting someone in to clean them?

Any feedback would be great!

Thanks :D

  • You must be referring to the 'rug doctor', I have used this a few times. They are easy to set up and use and the results were always brilliant...even after the builder stomped plaster all over the living room carpet!!

i think its called the rug master and you can hire it in somerfields as well
I have never used it but i was going to clean my three piece suite a few months ago so i asked about it and the lady at the tills in somerfields said she had just cleaned all her carpets and she couldnt believe how well they came up
Im sorry i cant be of more help but im sure someone else will have used this
i know it works out a lot cheaper than to get someone in as it would have cost me about £36 for the day but we decided on getting a new three piece so i didnt need it

I have used the Rug Doctor a few times on both carpets and upholstery and the results are great.

Morrisons have them too - sometimes they have special offers on the cleaning solutions (you have to pay for these on top of the cost of the machine hire).

The Pet Stain Remover is great for getting tea/coffee/juice stains out the carpet (I don't have any pets!) - worked much better than the Vanish mousse.

If you don't have any noticeable stains, but just want to brighten up your carpets, the general carpet cleaning solution is very good.

    Good luck!
