Where would the best place be folks? Tesco?
(being male, best = most roses per £!)

Oh heck - sorry. Probably Tesco or Asda then depending on which is nearest you.
Was talking about this with my aunt in Dublin the other evening. There was a Singer sewing machine in Lidl for £99.99 here this week - It was on sale in the South for 99.99 Euro - so no allowance for the exchange rate at all! It makes me cross how expensive Lidl has become and how much extra they charge here compared to GB. I just hadn't realised it extended to flowers as well. :mad:0 -

Why not just go into your local florist. They may be a bit more expensive than the big supermarkets, but at least they are fresh good-quality flowers which have not been squeezed into a plastic bag and shipped in the hold of a plane. Your florist will also be able to offer alternatives to roses. All prepared before your very eyes. After all, how many females would really be over the moon to recive roses from Lidl, Tesco or Asda ?.0

I'd like to, WJL, but don't have that kind of money free at the minute, and tbh, if I'm spending £30 quid, I'd rather spend a tenner on flowers and twenty taking her to that cinema, that the whole lot on flowers.
Gonna take a spin out to tesco later on, will report back to this thread what it's like.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -
always find that the flowers from a supermarket last a lot longer than a florists if that is important to you.0

They would've been cheaper last week and will be cheaper on Tuesday lol
Not cynical really
