Tough Without a Gun is a biography of the one and only Humphrey Bogart. Having only become a Hollywood star at the age of 42, Bogart made an indelible mark on the movies. This biography by Stefan Kanfer (published by Faber & Faber, charts Bogart’s life from his pre-Hollywood theatre career to his years in the movies. Of course, at the heart of the story is Bogart’s love affair with Lauren Bacall who stole his heart when they met on the set of To Have and Have Not.
