One of the reasons that i have never actually joined HDUK is because of all of the sniping, rude and down right nasty comments people make about others on it. Particularly when people are only trying to be helpful.
Sadly i have noticed this creeping in to MSE more and more over the past 12 months. I'm sure that none of us are immune to this every now and then, but some people seem to do it more than leave a helpful post.
And of course, someone will come back and say, so how is this a helpful post then? Maybe it isn't, but I'm getting fed up of the incipient nastiness that is growing on this site. Lets try and get back to what it should be people....0 -
Great xbox find by the way, sadly, as I run a Mac using Safari i can't access Tesco without my whole system crashing. Again, great post OP0

Not having a go here - and please don't take offence.
I often post on here and on hukd - if i copy a post i ALWAYS state the source (and people on hukd are often pulled up on not stating their source when they've copied too) - but often its deals i have spent time looking for - and i have to say it is really frustrating if i post on one site and then go to post it on the other - and find it already posted word for word - with no reference to where it came from.
Whether its rules or not - i do think its common curtesy - even if its just to mention the site it came from and not the person - surely thats not much to ask form a friendly site ?0 -

We all make mistakes, yes i did copy posts from HDUK and you pulled me up for that, i then did it correctly.
THIS POST WAS NOT COPIED-HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT?
Not only is it very childish to have a go at someone for posting your post on another site, but there is ofen posts on HDUK that you have posted and not posted on MSE so if people like me didnt copy, then others are missing out. Im not the only one you pulled up regarding this. You also pulled THATGUY1 up telling him to thanks the original poster, Its so childish and pointless. Does it really matter where it came from? i thought the whole idear was to save people money, and it people that dont go on HDUK dont see the deals, then they are clearly missing out.
It may be common courtesy to say thanks, and state where the post came from, but its also common courtesy to be polite to others. Why couldnt you PM me if you had a problem with me? or the other guy? Does it make you feel better to belittle others? I have always said, if you dont have anything nice to say, then dont say anything.
Im sorry if anything ive done in the passed has annoyed or upset you in any way. It certainly wanst my intentions.
Can i just say a big thanks to everyone for thier support. :T0 -

i am not having a go - i said that at the start of the post - i am just trying to show the other side - i am all for a bargain - and am all for sharing them - i haven't been mean or critical of you - i am just trying to explain how it is polite (and apparently forum rules which i hadn't realised) to say where you spotted the deal if someone has spent 2 hours looking for bargains and then when they go to post it have seen it has already been copied before they have had the chance.
I am sure if you'd spent the morning looking through shops for deals and then found someone copied your post without saying where they had seen it before you had a chance to post it yourself, you would be disapointed too.
I didn't suggest you copied this - it was a general comment on the postings.0 -
So its childish to follow forum rules and thank your source? This thread was a repost of something already on MSE and at the time had been on HUKD for ages and was about the 2nd hottest all time deal. Either way my original comment amounted to indifference as it was old news. There is such a thing as being oversensitive. If a reply doesn't amount to a the equivalent of a group hug or a high five then its not necessarily a personal attack on your character.
Great find OP - and by that I mean sarahlucy on MSE and leroy5800 on HUKD.0
